'NeutralLane started with a humble ambition: to introduce true Neapolitan pizza to London. The Martin family established our pizzeria in 1985 as a quaint, family-owned shop with generations-old recipes.
Sophie Martin, our founder, mastered the craft of making pizza on her journeys across Italy, learning from renowned pizzaiolos in Naples—the cradle of pizza. Once back in the UK, her mission was to replicate the essence of genuine Italian pizza, adhering to classic techniques and selecting only premium ingredients.
Our journey began with a cozy 12-seat restaurant and has flourished into a cherished neighborhood gem. Yet, our dedication to excellence and authenticity endures. We persist in using historic wood-fired ovens, preparing our dough from scratch every day, and seeking out the finest ingredients we can lay our hands on.
Nowadays, 'NeutralLane' remains under family ownership, with the Martin's second generation at the helm of a devoted team. While we've adopted new innovations, the core of our business is unchanged: to serve scrumptious, genuine pizza that unites people.
